A Pakistani firm expressed interests in purchasing raw materials from Iranian suppliers and initiating commercial cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in this regard.

Speaking on the sidelines of IranPlast 2025, the Procurement Manager of Pakistan’s Metatex Company, Muhammad Mehdi, pointed to the high quality of Iranian products and advanced technology of Iranian companies, stating that there is a ground for cooperation between the firms from both countries.

He said his main goal in visiting Iran and the event was to explore the opportunities and assess the potential for trade partnerships between Pakistani and Iranian companies, expressing hope that such cooperation would lead to a better future for both sides.

Highlighting the technological capabilities and product quality of Iranian firms, Mehdi said, “Iranian companies have outstanding technology, the people are very welcoming, and the products I have seen so far are of good quality. I hope we can begin a fruitful collaboration.”

Responding to a question about prior cooperation with Iranian firms, he noted that Metatex has not worked with Iranian suppliers before.

“This is our first experience, and we are here to start negotiations and identify pathways for commercial cooperation,” he noted.

Commenting on the exhibition, Mehdi said, “Iranian traders and companies are highly open to cooperation. It has been a very positive experience. I have had discussions with various companies, and after returning to Pakistan, I plan to continue negotiations and eventually sign trade agreements with Iranian partners.”

He described the future of Iran-Pakistan trade relations as promising and emphasized that Metatex is fully prepared to begin serious cooperation with Iranian companies.

Metatex specializes in producing plastic products and food packaging films, and offering printing services. The company holds a significant market share in Pakistan.
