The chairman of Iraq’s Economic Development Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development expressed satisfaction with the quality and pricing of Iranian plastic products, calling for deeper trade ties between Iraqi and Iranian businessmen.
Speaking on the sidelines of IranPlast 2025, Ali Hadi Ali Al-Azzam said Iraqi buyers had successfully sourced essential materials from Iranian suppliers during the event.
“This marks my second participation in IranPlast,” Al-Azzam said, adding, “We’ve managed to procure the required products from Iranian producers.”
He noted a significant expansion in the scale of the exhibition compared to the previous year, citing a sharp increase in the number of exhibitors and booths.
“The growth is remarkable. We hope to establish appropriate ties with Iranian manufacturers again this year,” he noted.
Al-Azzam described Iranian polymer and plastic products as competitively priced and of acceptable quality, adding that Iraq represents a viable market for Iranian exports.
“We welcome continued cooperation and look forward to further growth in trade between Iranian and Iraqi businessmen,” he stated.
Iran’s 19th International Exhibition of Raw Material, Plastics, Rubber, Machinery and Equipment, known as IranPlast 2025, kicked off on September 8 in Tehran and will run to September 11.
The event was inaugurated by Hassan Abbaszadeh, CEO of Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC), alongside senior officials from Iran’s oil and petrochemical sectors.
