Armenia is prepared to import Iranian products and services, particularly polymer pipes, said the head of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia.

Armen Nersisyan made the remark while visiting IranPlast 2025 in Tehran, stating his primary goal in visiting the event was to pave the way for cooperation between Iranian and Armenian companies in sectors including plastics and polymers.

“The Union’s strong ties with both government and private industry, along with its familiarity with Armenian market dynamics, enable us to support the import of Iranian products. There is significant capacity for collaboration” Nersisyan said.

He noted that Armenia faces supply shortages in certain areas, citing high demand for polymers pipes.

“We believe Iranian manufacturers can help meet these needs with high-quality products,” he added.

Nersisyan described trade ties between Iranian and Armenian firms as a mutually beneficial opportunity that could accelerate development in both countries’ collaboration.

Iran’s 19th International Exhibition of Raw Material, Plastics, Rubber, Machinery and Equipment, known as IranPlast 2025, kicked off on September 8 in Tehran and will run to September 11.

The event was inaugurated by Hassan Abbaszadeh, CEO of Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC), alongside senior officials from Iran’s oil and petrochemical sectors.
